Hi,

i just have a quick question.

Maybe one year ago i buyed a pair of above Modules (Corsair Twinx 1024-3200LL (XMS3205 v1.2).

Now i own an Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939 Mainboard.

Everything runs fine with those Modules.

Now i want to upgrade to 2 GB of RAM.

But the only Modules wich i can get here have a diffrent version number (Corsair Twinx 1024-3200LL (XMS3205 v3.1).

Is it possible to mix diffrent version numbers in my Motherboard ?

Or is there a way to get a pair of modules with version 1.2 ?

No, you will most likely NOT be able to mix revisions. It usually results in an unstable machine or failure to boot.

If you need 2gb of RAM, I would suggest the TwinX 2048 kit of PC3200C2. You could also try 4 x PC3200XL (2 x TwinX 1024 kits). However, from what I have seen many people have problems with this setup so I would not suggest it. The 2048 TwinX kit is your best bet.

Good luck, Mike.
