gaspari
Hi everybody, So i have this weird problem with Corsair link and the Commander pro. Some of my fans is intermittently not found via Corsair Link and is also intermittently showing up inte GUI and then disappearing again. There is no pattern on which fans who show up either. So all fans is working and spinning but my fan profiles is not working due to some fans is not found sometimes which is sort of annoying, i bought the commander pro just for this feature :sunglasse So i did a uninstall of the corsair link and reinstalled it, and it seemed to be working.. for a while. Restarting the software and stopping/starting the Corsair link service can get it running again (intermittently). Also a reboot always makes it work again.. again for a while. There is no pattern either on when it stops working. Havent found anything with software i'm running and nothing. I have the latest version of corsair link and i have also flashed to the latest firmware for commander pro. Still no luck. My setup towards the commander pro is like this: 3x ML 120 Fans connected via 1 fan header W/splitter 3x (more) ML 120 Fans connected via 1 fan header W/splitter 3x (more) ML 120 Fans connected via 1 fan header W/splitter 1x ML 140 Fan connected also connected to the commander pro 3 Strip of Corsair RGB leds connected 2 is interconnected and one is separated which means im running 2 led channels The RGB strips is not affected by the problem Otherwise my system is: Win 10 Enterprise LTSB (latest windows update) Asus Maximus X Hero (Latest Bios 1003) Corsair RM 850X PSU 4 X G.skill trident Z RGB 8GB sticks MSI Geforce GTX 1080 Gaming X 2X Samsung 960 250gb m.2 in raid0 When booting im starting: Corsair Link 4 Asus Aura MSI Afterburner Intel RST (for raid) All other services / bloatstuff is inactivated Corsair Link version: 4.9.5.25 Commander PRO Versions: Firmware 0.7.199 Bootloader 0.3 Does anybody have any troubleshooting tips here? gaspari
It might have something when running either Core Temp, HWinfo64 or Aida64. Sounds like a legit reason?
DevBiker
It might have something when running either Core Temp, HWinfo64 or Aida64. Sounds like a legit reason? I know that I've seen similar behavior when running HWInfo. Not sure about the other two but definitely potential suspects.
c-attack
Asus Aura is also a suspect. For whatever reason, the current version and 4.9.xx Link series seem to grapple for dominance. Every now and then Link freezes up, similar to what you are describing and when I open the task manager, Asus Lighting Service is chewing up 20% of the CPU. Killing it allows Link to communicate again. Not sure who is to blame, but it seems more problematic when waking from sleep. If those are regular non-RGB ML series, you may be able to get around this by rolling back to Link 4.8.3. This was the last version before things got tricky with 4.9. donalgodon
I don't know how, but my bootloader version is different from yours. Corsair Link version: 4.9.5.25 Commander PRO Versions: Firmware 0.7.199 Bootloader 0.4 Not sure if it has anything to do with your issue or not, but I wanted to mention it.
