madcatswim04
I've been having problems with my computer randomly giving me a blue screen of death and after consulting with both my motherboard manufacturer and microsoft, I've concluded that the only problem left could be my RAM. I need an RMA for a stick of VS1GB400C3. Another reason I believe it's my RAM which is malfunctioning is that windows error report says that my paging file on my RAM is corrupt and that it is more likely to be the actual RAM modules than software. My system specs: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe 1GB Corsair PC-3200 Value Select ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 MB 160 GB Ultra ATA Samsung HD 16x Plextor DVD+/-RW 52x ASUS Quiet Track CD-R Creative Labs Audigy 2 Gamer ZS Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further troubleshoot this problem. Thanks. - - Kurt
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 4, 2005 Please try these settings: With the A7N8X-E please set the FSB jumper to pins 2-3 with the modules in slots 2-3 and then reset or clear the bios and load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings manually. Then please test the system with http://www.memtest.org.
