gherman
Hi I have an Asus P5AD2-E mobo and I want to put in 2 gb of Corsair memory. However, I want rto use 2 x 1024 mb modules = 2 GB in stead of 4 x 512. Is my mobo compatible with Corsair XMS2 1024 Mb modules? Which 1024mb modules are available (and compatible) for my mobo and what is the difference betwewn xms2 and xms2 pro? /Gabriel

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 4, 2005 If they have the single modules they should have the Twinx sets. You might call them and ask!

Wired
Yes and No. Single sticks are rated at a certain timing. When paired up, that same timing is not guaranteed. The Twins are tested in pairs, so they're guaranteed at those timings. In otherwords, you can pair up 2 single sticks that aren't Twin tested, and they may run at their single timings fine, they may not. If they're different revisions they probably won't.
