Binary Poet Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I have a stable K8NSNXP-939 running with a 3500 processor, but it only see's half the memory in the system (ie 1 gig of the 2 installed)! I have 2 sticks of Corsair PC-3200 w/ LED (TWINX1024-3200C2 Pro) (slots 1&2) and 2 sticks of Corsair PC-3200 XMS (TWINX1024-3200LLPT) (Slots 3&4) I can take either pair and they run fine alone, but when I put them all in, the system only see's the TWINX1024-3200C2 Pro (LED's are flashing).... How can I get the system to reconize all the memory (2 gigs?) Steve
jsteel44 Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Try 1 C2 pro and one LLPT in slots 1 and 2 and the same for 3,4. Unfortunately it might be they're not compatiable with each other as they probably use far different chips etc..
Binary Poet Posted February 4, 2005 Author Posted February 4, 2005 I tried 1,3,2,4 as you suggested and it just beeped at me..... no post
El-Sama Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 As outlined here. I really don't want to have to buy matching sticks just because, but it's looking like that is going to have to be my recourse.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2005 Corsair Employee Posted February 8, 2005 With AMD64 since the memory controller is in the CPU you cannot mix memory. In addition with this platform if you use more than 2 modules they may need to run at DDR333.
