schizetia
Hi, I need some guidance with regards to installing the Corsair H115i 280mm AIO for my CPU & I understand the manual states the pump power cable needs to be connected to the CPU_FAN header. I'm presently using the Fractal Design R6 which has an inbuilt Nexus+ Smart fan hub which also requires to be connected to the CPU_FAN header. Any advise? Thanks. c-attack
No, you can stick it anywhere. On the H115i, that line provides a one-half pump speed reading only. No power. No fan speed. It is mostly useful for getting through the CPU boot error when you don't put anything on CPU fan. Power will be through the SATA line and if you have to let the motherboard connector go unused, the only impact with be a no reading in the BIOS. Link can still read the pump through the USB connection and that is where you should control the fans.
