H115i PRO vs EVGA CLC 280....Pump asthestics only recommendation.

Originally I had planned on using the EVGA 280 for my upcoming build. However the more I look at other builds using the EVGA DG-87 case I'm now wondering if using the CLC280 is EVGA logo overkill. Performance between the two is close enough to call it equal(though the Pro might edge it out now) so the choice is purely from an aesthetic perspective.

Before adding a cooler I'm going to have EVGA in quite large illuminated looking like this:

.....................................................

.....................................................

..........<cooler>...............................

.....................................................

...................................EVGA....

.........EVGA...................................

...EVGA...........................................

.........EVGA...................................

.....................................................

.....................................................

With my memory being Corsair Vengeance RGB I'm thinking it might be better to go with the H115 so I don't have a 5th EVGA logo. Thoughts?

IMHO, the EVGA cooler looks tame compared to the Pro coolers.

One note: if you do get any Corsair stuff, be careful with EVGA XOC. It tries to take over all of the RGB and has caused serious issues with Link. Now, I don't know if it'll try with the Pro coolers but it may. Apparently, you can turn of the LED sync and be fine. Note that this is clearly an issue with XOC; they should not be attempting to control another vendor's coolers/hardware but they very clearly and obviously are.

Yeah, that is something to keep in mind. It appears the RGB Wars are about to enter the ugly phase where control programs deliberately conflict with each other. The two mentioned above are not the only ones and NZXT is about to do the same. If you have the RGB GPUs and are required to use Precision XOC, you might give some thought to managing all the separate utilities. I see the twin GPUs and the SLI bridge. What is the larger one to the front? Case or motherboard? Is that controllable as well? Hopefully there is an off setting. You may want it later.
