MclarenII
I got a new module from the retailer today. The one they replaced reported errors in memtest at 2-2-2-5. I plugged in the new module together with my other identical one(settings were already set to 2-2-2-5) and started the computer. Beep, beep, beep, computer won't even boot up. So I take away the new module and try again with only the other module. Starts with no problem. I switch modules and try the new by itself and tries to run memtest. It hangs completely without even beginnining the test. So I restart to change the timings but now the computer won't boot up. So I switch modules again and change the timings to 2.5-3-3-7 and after that I insert the new module together with the other one and the computer boots fine. I run memtest and it reported no errors in 2 cykles. So the new module won't work at all at 2-2-2-5 timings, not even when I run it as single module. At 2.5-3-3-7 all seems fine even in dual-channel. I got my original stuff 2 weeks ago on of those modules needed to be replaced. After 1½ week I get my replacement module and it's even worse then the other one. Atleast the computer booted then. No I'm sitting here with a new computer and still can't run it like it should be cause of these problems. It's getting a little frustrating. This could go on forever it seems. Is the quality really that bad or have I just have bad luck. I was so looking forward to get my computer up and running today with 2 fresh good-working Corsairs. Running your new rig with only 512 MB RAM isn't very pleasing. So what do we do now. Do I need to get both of the modules replaced and get me a TWINX-pair instead. The retailer "Datorbutiken.com" (on of Swedens largest computeretailers) sold these in pair but they came in separate packages. Do Corsair have an office in Sweden or even Europe? I want this to be handled as fast as possible.

So I will need to send both of my modules to California USA? I have never sent stuff overseas before. Do I need to contact a deliveryfirm myself or do Corsair handle that part? I wouldn't know where to begin. Would I have to pay the shippingcosts myself? In that case I think these modules is getting a bit expensive. MclarenII
Ok. I see. So if I send it to you directly, I will get a TWINX-set back? If that's the case I will contact my reseller tomorrow and ask them if they can replace them with a twinx-set and if they won't I'll have to send it to you. MclarenII
I must tell you this: I downloaded CPU-Z and it shows that the new module is a CMX512-3200C2 and not a 3200XL even though the label on the module says XL. I've talked to my reseller and they will replace it immediately.
