Bad Twinx CMX512-3200XLPT Module

Hi,

I bought a pair of Twinx CMX512-3200XLPT Modules a while ago, and have just installed and started testing them. I have an Athlon XP-M 2600 running at 12x200 @ 1.7v on an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Rev1.01.

I ran into some problems with the combined Prime95 Torture tests at 3,3,3,6, even after setting system to 10x166, so I scanned your forum and set the board up as advised without success. I then downloaded memtest86+ from http://www.memtest.org, & have now run this for each stick separately (in Skt3) at 12x200 @ 1.7v Vcore, with memory @ 2/3/2/11 & Vm=2.7v. 1 module passed with no errors at all, and the other failed virtually every test - with 01000000 being read.

Other module details are XMS3208v1.1 0435061-2

I am in the UK, and bought the modules from Dabs.co.uk (a Corsair approved retailer) back in September, and their website indicates that their warranty repair process takes at least 6 weeks (and they don't even provide any contact details for Corsair!).

Whats my best option for getting the faulty memory replaced quickly - probably as a pair I guess. I'd be grateful for any help or guidance here.

Thanks.

Please try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and test the suspect module again. If you still get errors, then please contact your reseller and see if they will help you get them replaced. If not then please submit the RMA request directly to us.

Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

Hi again,

I set the Dim voltage to 2.8 as you suggested and experienced exactly the same problem - looks like a sticky bit 6 to me. The other module is working great though, just passed at 210MHz with 2/2/2/5 @ 2.8v. Your modules seem to like a bit of voltage - what voltage are they spec'd to - I can't seem to find it on your website or the package info?

I'll contact the reseller tomorrow and see what they say. Thx for your help.
