oppewalj
I have an Abit IS7-G mobo and recently upgraded my memory from Corsair XMS3200 to XMS3700 so I could do some overclocking.Well, even before I got a chance to touch the CMOS settings I had a problem. With the new pc3700 memory installed the computer wont even post. Im not sure if the memory is bad or my board just doesnt like new sticks for some reason. Everything works fine with the old memory in. Any similar problems...help
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 3, 2005 Please try and reset or clear the biow with just our XMS3700 modules installed and see if the system will post. If so then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings to Cass 3-4-4-8 and test the system with http://www.memtest.org.
