Problems with Abit AV8 and Corsair XMS-3200C2 RAM

I recently purchased a new processor and motherboard, the AMD64 3500+ and the Abit AV8, and have not been able to get my Corsair RAM to work together, either single-channel or dual-channel. Either chip works fine on its own, and memtest shows no problems, but if I try to put either chip in dual, the motherboard makes a long beep error. I've set the DRAM voltage to 2.8, and upgraded the BIOS to v1.7, and still can't get anywhere. Worked fine in my old Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard. Anything else I should try?

I had similar probs with my Abit board mate , with me it was the mainboard it would run happily with either one of the Corsair rams but not with the 2 installed (twinx kit :) ) not in single nor in dual channel mode. Bios was 1.7 like yours mobo revision 1.1 (original bios 1.2).

Just swap the mobo at your dealer you might have a bad dimm slot like me
