Vega5002
Several months ago I posted a thread about a bad memory module I had and went through the process with the Ram Guy to get an RMA#. The module was determined to be defective after all the troubleshooting I went through and I was given a link to the online RMA request form, filled it out, sent it and never got a reply. :[pouts: So now I tried searching for the thread but it has been deleted so I now I have to do this all over again. Here it goes: I have 2 sticks of CMX256A3200C2PT in a K8VSE Deluxe motherboard. One module has been determined bad of the 2. Here is the history and troubleshooting: I have only been running the sticks in DDR333 speed because the system cannot run at 400 speed-constant BSOD screens at DDR400 (200mhz) (Windows XP also would not install with the memory running at DDR400., constant crashes) The memory has been running underclocked because they are in Dimm slots 2&3 which forces it down to DDR333. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT BOOT UP IN ANY OTHER DIMM SLOT CONFIGURATION. This is because it runs the memory at full speed in any other configuration. I ran each module one at a time through memtest86+ off a floppy and the one module passed, but the other failed on test #7 every time with multiple errors. This module was causing all the problems in the system all along. I need this module replaced to run my system correct. Please-I would just like like my ram to run at its rated speed of DDR400!! Please help me get an RMA # so I can get a replacement for this defective module. Again-my sytem specs: Asus K8VSE Deluxe (Yes- all BIOS settings were correct-set to auto, also tried manually setting Dimm voltage=2.7V and tried CL timing=2.5) AMD ATHLON 64 2X Corsair CMX256A-3200C2PT (1 defective module) Thank You
