Jabberwok
Theoretically for an AMD system these runs on 2.5-3-3-6 timings. Your BIOS should be setup that way already... If not then check inside your bios. Find the "Advanced Chipset Features" (or similar) under the "Advanced" tab. Then find the memory timings section & tell us what lurks inside... I looked in the bios and it was set to auto, so I took a look at sisandra and it gave me these timings. 3.0-4-3-3 2T. I did change the settings to 2.5-3-3-6 and it works fine, I still havent tested the mem with that prog*have no floppies :o: * I will run it today. I did run World of warcraft and it crashed to desktop 1 time after 3 hrs of play with these settings, but when left in auto my pc never did that. These are the auto settings in my bios that were blued out that I changed CAS Latency CL=3.0 to 2.5 Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 4 to 3 Row to Row delay Bios Default Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 8 to 6 Row Precharge Time tRP 3 Write Recovery Time Bios Default Write to Read delay Bios Default Read to Write Delay Bios Default Refresh Period tREF Bios Default Enable 2T Timing auto I did not do the dim volt, was to scared lol, will it help that much to change the volt if its working in the default voltage? Another question is the tras is 8 and I set it to 6 but I noticed that your sig says 10. So is higher better?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 2, 2005 I would suggest you set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test the system with http://www.memtest.org, and you can download a ISO Image and burn it to a CD.
