david987
Hi, Wondering how many Watts the PCIe 8 pin (6+2) port supports? If this info is in the documentation I can't find it.. Am looking to connect it to a 1080ti which has a max draw of 350W and requires 2 8pin cables. Can I use the provided PCIe cable with 2 6+2 connectors? Thanks. David. Corsair Mike
Hi David, The RM850X supports up to 850 watts on the 12 volt rail. So as long as the rest of your system uses less than 500W max you will be able to use those connectors. An easy way to check if you have enough headroom is to use a power supply calculator, and punch in the parts you already have into it and see if that leaves you with at least the 350w you need.
