Sylvainp
Hi guys, here is my PC P4 2.4c @ 3.00 (FSB 250Mhz) (CPU idle 30 - Load 48 degree with sensor under core of the CPU) Corsair Twinx3200-LL (2.75V on DIMM) CAS 2-3-2-6 Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Bios 1019 Thermalright SP-94 with Artic Silver 5 Right now I use a ratio of 5:4 for the memory so my RAM are at 200 Mhz and the FSB is at 250. Is it better to run a ration of 1:1 instead of 5:4 ? Now I use the tight timing of 2-3-2-6. I have tried to set the FSB to 255Mhz with a 5:4 ratio so the CPU was at 3060Mhz and the RAM at 205Mhz and Memtest give me some errors. How high can I increase my FSB with these RAM when using a 1:1 ratio ? At what timing ? And voltage ? Thanks
Yellowbeard
I'd suggest 2.75 or 2.85v with that RAM. However, your best overall results will likely be with the 5:4 ratio as you will get a much higher CPU speed. With the 1:1, you will probably never make it past 220mhz max unless you REALLY want to pour the voltage to the RAM. However, this would require a volt mod and would void both your MOBO and RAM warranty. I'd try to OC at a 5:4 ratio. If you can go up from 250/200, that will likely be your best option with your current setup. Mike.
pershoot
the best i did with 3200LL v1.2 (ch5) in amd nF2, 2x512 DC, was ~230, 2-3-2, 2.9Vdimm.

At a 5:4 "IF" you can do 230 on the RAM and the CPU will do 285 or so, that would be a SWEET OC. Mike.
