fausto
Hi, I have a motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX Z270I and the corsair H75, on the motherboard there are CPU_FAN, CHA_FAN, AIO_PUMP how do I connect the heatsink connector? What bios settings? Thank you
DevBiker
I would connect the header from the pump unit to the AIO_PUMP header and then the fans to the CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT headers. Since CPU_OPT mirrors CPU_FAN, that'll keep the fans synchronized. If you don't have CPU_OPT, use a splitter and connect to CPU_FAN; the H75 should come with one. On the Asus boards, the AIO_PUMP header is automatically set to MANUAL control, which puts it at full power. Leave it there.
fausto
Thanks for the reply, I would have another question. I'm assembling a mini-itx case, do you think it's better to use one of the 2 fans as chassis_fan?
c-attack
If you can't fit it, then that is that. Running double fans on the radiator allows you to run them slower without losing any performance. Whether that is useful depends on the case, location, and how sensitive you are to noise. Voltage levels and overclock will factor as well, so this may be something you experiment with and see. Regardless, the cooler will work perfectly fine with one fan if needed. DevBiker
I just looked at the specs for that board. I would put both of the AIO fans on the CPU fan header with a splitter and then a case fan on chassis fan. You'll need some air getting into the case. fausto
Unfortunately the case has no space for additional fans, the case is SST-SG13B and so I wanted to use a fan to cool the case and the other to cool the CPU
DevBiker
How are you planning on mounting the second fan? It looks like you'll only have room to mount the radiator and its associated fans ... probably as intake, I would guess.
fausto
In fact, I would like to use a fan as the external chassis fan and the second as cpu fan. What do you think?
