Random keys flickering on and off only when using animated lighting effects

so my friend gave me his K70 Rapidfire RGB a few days ago 2 days later i noticed that random keys would flicker like they were going on and off for a split second only while using the animated lighting effects like rainbow spiral or rainbow wave i asked my friend if he had the same problem and he said he didnt ever have problems with the keyboard so i looked on the forums and the only fix i saw was to disable the 16m color option in the CUE but ive spend 15 mins going thru the application and i cant find out how to disable that option so has anyone found a fix for this or do you all just use that static rainbow profile someone made that you can download in the CUE
