CM512-3200C2 module bad

The ram will prevent the computer from booting in any slot, once it's taken out the computer boots again.

Seems it shortcircuited, as it happened overnight. In the morning, no post. Until the module was removed.

Can i have a ticket please.

Regards,

Kristian

Can you tell me the exact model# of your memory module and please tell me if you purchased that module as a pair or set; also what is the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and its FSB as well? In addition, please tell me if you have the latest BIOS installed on your system and what BIOS settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

The model number is CMX512-3200C2, it's purchased individually.

The make and model of the motherboard is Asus NCCH-DL, the CPU is a Xeon running stock 3.2GHz at 200MHz FSB, at the standard CAS of the module. The BIOS is the latest one of the board and settings are standard. (SPD for memory).

The module didn't work when the computer was booted in the morning, seems like something snapped overnight. Previous to this there were no problems with the setup.
