Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted November 17, 2017 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2017 Yeah. But I can understand it can be annoying. The magnetics typically have a varnish over them to minimize the vibration. And in addition, a non-conductive caulk is used. But over time, an older PSU like your can have that stuff dry up and crack and that makes it almost ineffective for dampening noise at certain loads. All PSU magnetics have varnish and most have caulk. If they didn't they would ALL make buzzing and hissing noises at certain loads.
