Zebkorsis
I am running a P4 3.0GHZ-800FSB, ECS mobo(PT800CE-A), Maxtor 60gb SATA/150 hard drive, and a nVidia GForce 5200. I bought a match set of VS512MB400.I am getting crashes and error msgs. Ran memtest got failures. Switched the slots and still the same. Run both individualy, no problems. Switch slots and do it again still runs fine. Put both sticks back in and get fails again. If you can help me out with this issue, it would be great. Thanks P.S. The error I get useing both sticks is= srtide6 failure. Only when using both sticks.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 27, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 27, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; VS512MB400 or VS1GBKIT400 Frequency Voltage Control CPU Freq: 200 DRAM Clock: 400 MHz Memory or Dim Reference voltage: 2.75 Volts System performance: AUTO AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* Advanced/Chipset Configure Dram timing by SPD: Disabled/User define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T SDRAM Burst Length: 8 All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
