Scuba Steve
Greetings, I recently recieved an Intel 915PBL from a retail promotion. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the optimal settings for this board while using TWIN2X1024-5400C4PRO modules. They are working fine at 533 but I was intrested in tweaking them a tad bit more. I know I could use Intel's burn-in-mode but I didn't know if this was the only solution for this board. Thanks, Steve
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 26, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 26, 2005 Steve,As far as I know Intel does not give you the option to over clock, at least they have not in the past and we have not looked at thier MB's with these modules for that reason. But let me know if you can set the CPU Frequency.
Scuba Steve
Steve, As far as I know Intel does not give you the option to over clock, at least they have not in the past and we have not looked at thier MB's with these modules for that reason. But let me know if you can set the CPU Frequency. What they allow is for you to adjust the CPU FSB by -4/+4% , PCI clk, and PCI-E clock by the same amount. Giving you some slight OC ability. If I try to adjust the ram timing to anything other than standard the board won't boot.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 28, 2005 I am sorry Steve, but I think our Value Select will run better with this MB for that reason. The part# is VS1GBKit533D2. But you can run these modules at DDR533 with out problems on this MB.
