gpugpu123456
I would really appreciate if you could help me. I have PSU HX1200 and I want to power 6 GPU gtx 1070 that requires 8pin and 6 pin connector. PSU has 6 PCIe ports.. one is taken for CPU, and 5 PCIe ports left for 5 GPU. How can I power 6th GPU which requires 8pin and 6 pin? Is it possible to power 6th GPU from peripheral port? What combination of cables should I use? 6pin from peripheral to molex then molex to 6+2 pin? and same for molex to 6 pin? kaka420
Hi, Have you managed to find a solution for this (8+6pin)? I am facing the same issue (with HX1200i) that I can only plug in 5 GPRUs (Sapphire RX580 - I had to source aftermarket Daisy connector off since Corsair only included 4 cables for these GPRUs). I dont know how to powerup the 6th card. So a solution if anyone can propose. Thanks
frosted
If I connected 6 ASUS Strix 1070s (with just a single 8-pin connector) to this PSU would it be OK to run 2 cards off one of the PCI-E rails? I would have to get a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter, but I want to make sure there would be no other issues. The cards draw about 150W max (100 from each rail I believe). bojanski
(Sapphire RX580 - I had to source aftermarket Daisy connector off since Corsair only included 4 cables for these GPRUs). Hey, since you managed to get 5x cards completely powered (I assume you went 8pin+6pin on each card?) - can you refer me to which extra cable did you get for the 5th card? I also got 4 PCIe cables with 8+8 pin on each, and I want to go 8pin+6pin on the 5th card, so I was wandering if that's fully supported by Corsair. I presume I'd get this cable, since i have the Type4 slot free on the PSU itself: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hx-series-pci-e-peripheral-cable-with-2-connectors-compatible-with-hx450-hx520-hx620-hx650 Thanks in advance.
