Wired
Bumping within 24 hours is not allowed, and is useless on the weekend when Corsair is closed. Also as a side note, editing a post to bump it does nothing, so I removed the bump, as well as your email address so spammers don't get it. Test the sticks one at a time with memtest.org with the following settings: CAS Latency: 2 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 Row Precharge (tRP): 3 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6 2.75 or 2.8 volts

Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! Dear Ram guy, i had a question. i found out how to change the latency timings for my Ram from 2.5-3-3-8 to 2-3-3-6 now my question, where do i go to change the voltage settings on that? i did not see that on my bios, however i was able to change the latency timings for my RAM on my bios. is it on the program memtest86 and if so please guide me to the direction that it is located. thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 24, 2005 This MB may not have the option to set the Dim Voltage. But normally it will be where you set the CPU speed and Vcore.
mkoegle
yeah i couldnt find anywhere to change the voltage, hopefully the motherboard has it correctly. ill be running the memtest86 on each chip in the next day and i'll let you know on the progress. mkoegle
just ran memort tests on both dimms (seperately 1 at a time) in each slot SLOT A #1 SLOT A #2 SLOT B #1 SLOT B #2 and received well over 1,000 errors each time, specifically one of my ram with a large 263.5 meg error (several times) I'm currently RMA'ing both of my sticks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2005 Lets see what happens when you replace the modules. But if you cannot set the Dim Voltage you may need to let the MB set the timings by SPD.
mkoegle
what do yo u mean by that? WHATS SPD and how may i go about that? :!:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2005 Just load setup defaults in the bios setup and it will set the timings automaticly by default. If you do not know what this means, I would suggest maybe you ask a friend to help you!
