Mozzer51
I recently bought a 512Mb stick of Corsair Value Select PC3200 (VS512MB400C3) to go into my system (Abit KV7 with Athlon Xp 3200+, Radeon 9600XT 128Mb). I already have a 256 Mb Corsair Value Select stick (VS256MB400) in it. I bought the 512 Mb stick to boost my system. I inserted the new stick of RAM, rebooted many times and can only detect the 512Mb stick. Can you help me read off both sticks, I really need the two to read otherwise my money will have been wasted. I currently have them in DIMM slots 2 & 3 and am only picking up the larger stick. Many Thanks if you can help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 24, 2005 You would need to use 2 modules that are exactly matched in part#. But to be sure I would test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org
Mozzer51
thanks for the help. However, it looks as though I shall be mailing the RAM back to aria.co.uk and asking if I can have a C3 version of the RAM in return. Hopefully this should work. BTW, what does the C3 stand for?
