Gigabyte 7vt600-1394 with twinx1024-3200xlpt 2 2 2 5

First, I can't stop smiling since I installed these 2 memory sticks in

my system. :D:

I bought this memory for an AMD-64 system that I was going to build. However, after trying this memory in my current system and seeing

how well they work, I don't think I will need to upgrade for some time.

I have an AMD-XP 3000+ with 333 Mhz FSB.

Previous memory was 3 sticks of pc-2700 2.5 3 3 7 2t.

Settings for the 3200xlpt memory is as follows...

Fast Command: fast

Dram Timing: manual

Dram CAS latency: 2

Bank Interleave: 4

Precharge to Active (Trp): 2

Active to Precharge (Tras): 6

Active to Cmd (Trcd): 2

Dram burst length: 8

Dram queue length: 4

Dram Queue Rate: 1T

Write recovery time: 2

Dram tWTR: 1T

Dram closk: auto (it selected 400)

Dram voltage: +0.2

I have a three main questions:

1 - I believe the Dram voltage at +0.2 is 2.7 volts which I saw in other

posts. Is this the correct setting as I didn't see anything about this

on the corsair memory package.

2 - There are only 6,7,8,9 settings in the bios for Tras. I selected 6.

Would it make a performance difference to be able to set this to

5 ? Would Gigabyte be open to a request for an updated bios to

support your memory specifications ? Would Corsair have better

luck that a single person making such a request ?

3 - I do not know what the bios settings for Write recovery time 2 or 3

and Dram tWTR 1T or 2T mean. Do you have any information about

these settings ?

Thanks

Tom

A: Yes +.2 Volts!

2 - There are only 6,7,8,9 settings in the bios for Tras. I selected 6.

A: No probably there would be no difference if any at all. And no you would have a better chance at getting support from the MB maker then we would, sorry!

3 - I do not know what the bios settings for Write recovery time 2 or 3 and Dram tWTR 1T or 2T mean. Do you have any information about these settings ?

A: Any bios settings not published under XMS Qualification and Testing for the specific module you should be set to Bios default or AUTO!
