PAO_fan
Hi, I have a VS512MB400 on a A7N8X-E deluxe motherboard and when I boot up my pc where it counts the memory sometimes it has to count it for 3-4 times and then run Windows or I have to press ESC. Is my memory faulty or I need to change something in my BIOS? Many thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 20, 2005 Please load setup defaults in the bios setup and set the memory Freq according to the CPU you have or set the memory Freq at 100% and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and do not make any other chnages to the bios except maybe disable the full screen logo. If for example you disable quick boot it will count the memory 3 times.
PAO_fan
Thanks for that guru! I did what you said and run memtest. When I have Memory Sizing setting to (1) BIOS - Std, then I get no errors, but when I select (2) BIOS - All then I get hundrends of thousands of errors. What is going on with it? Any explanations? Shall I send it back? MAny thanks in advance
PAO_fan
... and WHY is it still counting 3 times at startup? This is not normal, is it??? With other RAMs it does not do that!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 21, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 21, 2005 You will need to ask the MB make about that setting as it is not a memory setting per say. I would suggest you not make changes to the bios except what’s listed/suggested unless you know exactly what you are doing.
