nexx
Hi, I recently got 2x512mb 3200 value seclect DDR for my computer but im having an annoying problem. Whenever i play a game i end up freezing. Time varies some times not even a minute sometime maybe an hour. When the freeze happens the picture stays on the screen and i can do nothing, its not a blue screen or a reboot. My motherboard is a gigabyte k8n and i have upgraded the bios and my processor is an athlon 64 3200. ive loaded optimum settings in the motherboard but that didnt help but im not sure how to change the ram settings so maybe thats it? Also memtest showed no errors and ive moved the slots around but nothing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 18, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 18, 2005 Please try and load setup defaults in the bios setup and then set the Dim Over Voltage Control to +.2 volts and see if that will solve the problem. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 18, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 18, 2005 If the modules pass http://www.memtest.org but you are getting this kind of problem, that would suggest some other issue. Can you test the modules in another system? And when the system locks can you hit CNTRL + ALT + DEL and get out of the application?
nexx
I dont have another system to test them on, but ive got some old ram that works fine on this system. And i cant do anything when it crashes, just normally push the reset button.
