Random BSOD and other errors

LiveWire

Recommended Posts

For several weeks, I have been having apparently random errors and blue screens. At first they were not very common, but have gotten progressively worse. Now I am getting BSOD stating "Machine_Check_Exception" with "stop: 0x0000009c (0x00000004, 0x80545ff0, 0xb2000000, 0x00070f0f)". I ran memtest86 though twice with no errors and I also ran Passmark's Burn-in Test Pro for 5 hours with no errors. Early on, Microsoft's online crash analysis stated that it was the video driver, but I have tried at least 5 different drivers and 2 different video cards. I also tried a fresh install of Windows.

My systems specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

MSI K8N Neo Platinum

1GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PRO

MSI GeForce 6600GT (NX6600GT) 128MB

I do have the CAS set to 2.5 in the BIOS, but the other settings are default. I have not overclocked anything. The bios and drivers are all up to date. Thanks in advance for any help!

Please make sure the modules are in slots 2-3 or 1-3 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings manually:

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T
