headrush
Hi, I have some unused PCI-E cables from an AX760 psu which I want to use on the Hx1200i. After looking through the available cables on the Corsair site, it seems that they should be compatible. Only the 24 pin mainboard cables are different. However, I've tested the continuity on both types of PCI-E cable and there are differences. Without knowing which pins are power or ground I can't be sure they'll be safe to use. Can I trust the corsair site to establish compatibility? Thanks
headrush
OK, I figured it out. The leads are interchangeable. All the top pins are ground and the bottom pins are +12v. On a 6+2 lead, the 2 are both ground. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w500/muckypups1/DSC_1138_crop_543x516_zpsec7njhbx.jpg
