PhilSav
Hi guys just after some info while I'm waiting for my M/B to turn up, i have on order the MSI X370 gaming pro carbon and have just received the mounting bracket from Corsair for my H80i v2 and as this is my first time into AIO's just wondering how you go about installing it onto the AM4 platform? Do you need to remove the M/B back plate and then use the AMD back plate that comes with that cooler or do just remove the brackets on top and use the M/B back plate? One more thing on the MSI x370 there is a pump header do i plug it into this or just a normal cpu fan header? I know I must sound like a noob..... well that's because i am :bigeyes Many thanks
red-ray
Use the CPU_FAN header rather than a pump header as the H80iV2 is not a pump, but rather a fan/pump/LED controller that contains a pump. I suspect once the MB arrives it all will become clear.

red-ray
I should also mention that you need to disable fan control/set full speed for the CPU_FAN header in the BIOS so the H80iV2 get's a constant +12 volts. For MSI it's Smart-Fan you disable as I recall and also set PWM mode if the BIOS will let you.
