Random extra fan going crazy

Ok so i updated to the newest version of Link and now all of a sudden it shows an extra fan listed as 'mb fan' which on idle is going at 2200-2300 rpm. The only fans actually connected are the 2 on my h80i along with the pump everything else is controlled by case fan controller.

Any advice would be helpful as this was fine prior to updating and is ridiculously loud on idle so god knows what it'll sound like under load.

Also what is the latest firmware version for the H80i as i can't find any up to date info anyway for it?

You should specify the previous and current version numbers as what you think is the latest may not be.

I expect the Fan @ 2303 RPM is the H80i pump speed that comes from single wire you connected to the CPU_FAN header.

For both H100i + H80i the latest firmware is 1.1.3, what version do you have?

I did think of that but i can't explain the sudden massive increase in noise i'm having to run in quiet mode just to keep it down and there is no temp spike to cause fan speeds.

The CL version i just updated to is 4.6.0.86 not sure what it was before hadn't updated since installation last year tbh.

The firmware is 1.0.7 but no options to update?

Are the H80i fans controlled by the H80i coolant temperature, post the configuration panels.

AFAIK CL4 can't update CoolIT firmware and you have to use http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125350 which you can't download from the Corsair Link downloads support section, but see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=896497

How do I download new firmware into my CL Minis + H100i + H110iGT?

Ahh yes forgot about those

Change them both to use the H80i coolant temperature. Also try mode Custom and set your own points.

OK i've set them both to H80i temp and used the custom curve that's already there and see how it goes.

Thanks for the help, although i still haven't sorted the firmware update issue as i wasn't sure which previous version of CL will allow it. Does it have to be updated or should i leave it as personally I've never noticed any issues apart from the aforementioned fan noise.
