Corsair Scimitar Side Buttons frequently not working after reboot

Quite often when I start my PC the side buttons won't work even though I have them mapped and they did work previously.

I then need to restart the PC often more than once and eventually they will work again.

I am using CUE 2.10.71, the automatic update function was never ever worked. I always get the "CUE has detected an error during Software Update Check". Overall I think CUE Is a really shoddy piece of Software and I am really starting to regret switching my Naga mouse for this one.

The fact that the side buttons are not by default mapped to 1 to = by default is annoying, considering the Naga does not have this issue.

All of this would not be an issue if CUE actually worked but like I said, very often when I start my PC the mouse will function but the side buttons act as if I never mapped them even though they are and they did work before the restart.

Anyone else having this issue? How do I fix this?

Hi Henry,

Yes I have the Scimitar. Which new one has buttons pre-mapped? And is this not something you can do with a firmware update for the "old" one?

I only bought this one in September 2016, it's only 6 months old!

CUE Version is 2.10.71(apparently the latest)

Firmware 2.04 (apparently the latest)

What system specs do you need?
