sookes Posted January 15, 2005 Share Posted January 15, 2005 mr ram guy, first of all i apreciate your dedication, we have spoke on the phone in the past year or so an your concern an dedication is excellent. my gig of xms pc3200llpt are dead, they have been serving me well for 18 months or so but our relationship has come to a violent end. i got a checksum error before post which started the troubleshoot session, i had to insert my backup bios floppy an reflash inorder to get in. once getting in using memtest 86 3.1 i got an error at 6 percent which stated halt and relocation on data bit streem to the memory address and test stops. i inserted my memory thats in my sons pc cause i can't go wilout caleague counter strike source for more then 10 minutes, and his pc3200 corsair is a tad older then mine but my machine now functions perfectly. i need a rma.. Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? Sorry this is a basic and standard procedure of our company policy, without going to the proper procedure I can not authorize you the go signal to fill out the RMA form.
