Hello,

So I built a new machine

Corsair Obsidian 900D Case

Asus Crosshair VI Hero

AMD Ryzen 1800X (Overclocked at 11% running at 4.02 Ghz)

Corsair Dominator Platinum Series 16GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz (overclocked at 3%)

Corsair AX1200i Power Supply | I know overkill - go big or go home :-)

2 Nvidia GTX 980 (SLI)

1 Samsung 2 TB SSD Evo

2 Western Digital Black 7200 2 TB

OS Windows 10 x64

Machine is extremely stable; however, as soon as machine boots up I get this Error in red on the bottom right corner of my monitor.

Logically I'm sure we all know water boils at 100 degrees Celsius and freezes at 0. So when I interpret this message as either -300C or 300C in either case seems very extreme and highly unlikely.

Tried to find this specific error online and no luck....

If I click anywhere on this warning it closes out and doesn't come back. I'm running Corsair Link 4 to monitor my temperatures and I see nothing concerning at all. Temperatures across entire system are well within the desired range.

So I strongly feel this warning is unjustified but it annoys me because I haven't figured out how to rid myself of it.

I'm parsing through my event logs to see if I see anything strange.

I'm mainly looking of a way to rid myself of this message. Since I believe it is unwarranted.

Within the install instruction for a AMD chipset, step # 5 states connect pump to power (which I did) and the 3 pin pump RPM Connection to CPU_Fan Power Header. Which I did...

However, I'm wondering if instead instead of plugging it into the CPU_Fan if I should have plugged it into the AIO_Pump.

Please note this is my first liquid cooled built machine but I've worked within IT for 20 years so I do not consider myself a novice in subject matters of hardware / software.

Both +300°C and -300°C must be wrong, especially -300 as absolute zero is -273.15°C

What connected to the W_OUT header on the motherboard?

I suspect this is where the value may be coming from. The sensor is reported via the EC (Embedded Controller) and I could comment further if you ran SIV 5.17 and posted the initial screen + Menu->Hardware->H/W Detail->I/O Embedded screen shots. You need to use 5.17 as that is the only released version that has Ryzen + ASUS Crosshair VI Hero support.

BTW the H100i is not a pump but rather a controller that controls a pump and I feel the CPU_FAN header should be used.

I fully understand that -273.15 is absolute zero.

But what I mentioned is verbatim the warning I get once windows 10 comes up

I followed the instructions that came with the H110i so I have nothing plugged into W_Out to answer your question.

I was hoping you would post .PNG files and the text was totally unreadable 'till I put it in a code section :biggrin:

As nothing is connected to W_OUT it can't be that and all the EC is as below and as I would expect.

That system was BIOS 0702 Date: 02/21/2017, what BIOS do you have? See [Machine]. Maybe a later BIOS will address the issue.

I'm actually working today so not at home. But to answer your question I installed 9.0.2 yesterday from Asus with the same hope that it would resolve the issue.

Correction on BIOS 0902 (not 9.0.2). Sorry for any confusion.

Other than the BIOS I can't think what else it could be. Is it the BIOS that reports this or ASUS AI Suite?

9.0.2 had me confused for 3ns, but thank you for the clarification

FYI...Internet Explorer doesn't have the features to attach PNG files like Firefox.

So hopefully files are now attached for you properly.

The error isn't in the BIOS.

The error appears immediately after the Windows 10 OS boots up and it doesn't appear to be related to the the ASUS AI suite.

FYI...Internet Explorer doesn't have the features to attach PNG files like Firefox.

I use IE and have no real idea what Firefox offers. As attached in your last post is what I do and prefer.

That looks like a message from AI Suite, which process does task manager show for it? I suspect it's a bug in AI Suite, but I don't use AI Suite as it's poorly engineered and fails to use the standard lock to interlock access to the sensor hardware.

Further Corsair specify if you have CL4 active you should not have AI Suite active, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118371

Well I will fully uninstall the AI Suite tonight and will see if the error goes away. Would be great if it was that simple
