H100i V2 bundled with Ryzen 1800X (AM4)

found this thread because i bought the amazon combo as well and was hoping to find the same answer.

I suspect Corsair is waiting until launch to reveal any details about AM4 "Upgrade Kits" or Adapters/Brackets whatever they end up calling them.

Hopefully since these coolers were bundled with our AM4 CPUs that means they already have one bundled or at the very least come with a coupon of some sorts.

It would be very weird to bundle a cooler with a CPU that doesn't natively support the socket and at the same time not offering a bracket of some sort to actually utilize the damn thing!

I'm sure we will find out in the coming days, if not shortly after launch... Otherwise I'll be hammering Corsair tech support for answers, and I suspect many others will also!

I don't see an Amazon bundle with an H100i v2, but I do see one with an H110i. Got a link?

I don't see anymore either, however they were there earlier in the day... Here is a link from the bundle that leaked and was taken down yesterday http://archive.is/2017.02.21-212937/https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W5Q7B38/

It resurfaced again early around the 1PM EDT pre-order window, myself and many others purchased it and my order is still valid.

It must have went out of stock.

Edit: In my order history when I click the link to the CPU it takes me to: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W9JXK4G/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Which is an H100i however my order history still says H100i V2

I also pre-ordered the bundle from Amazon that listed the H100i v2 cooler, which does not currently appear to be compatible with the AM4 socket. If you check Amazon now they changed the bundle to include a H110i cooler which is compatible with the AM4 socket. I ended up canceling my Amazon bundle order with the v2 cooler and pre-ordered just the CPU to avoid any issues. I also ordered the H100i cooler from Corsair's shop because it was cheaper than Amazon and lists it as AM4 compatible. For anyone that still has their old bundle with the v2 cooler, good luck!

Unfortunately I'm unable to cancel just the cooler, I can only cancel the CPU & the Cooler in one, and I'll lose my place in line if I do that.

I think currently the h110i uses a diffrent bracket than the H100i v2

the h100i v2 bracket bolts to the mother board using 4 screws

while the h110i uses two clips.

I believe the clips are still compatible and require no new hardware,

You're completely right. Any cooler with a classic AMD clip-style bracket/mount will match AM4.

This does mean that H100i V2 (GTX) will need a new bracket. No word on that, though.

So if I order an AM3 clip for the H100i it will connect to the H100i V2?

Not quite. The H100i and H100i V2 (or GTX - same thing, really) are not physically identical. The old H100i had a square pump unit and a magnetic bracket that attached to either Intel LGAXXXXX (add more or less as you please) or AMD AM2/3/3+ with a clip.

The H100i V2 has a circular-shaped pump unit. The brackets will not match.

Interesting, it sounded like it was suggested the H100i bracket would fit the H100i V2 I guess not, thanks for clarifying.

I'll have to wait for Corsair to release an AM4 adapter kit like every other major Cooling Manufacture has already done (Noctua, Cooler Master, EKWB).

No problem.

Or, you could do what I do - get a cheap AM4-compatible air cooler (i chose the TX3 Evo) so you get to do your build when your parts arrive, and then switch to the AIO later.

But then again, I'm not patient enough to leave new gear sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks (estimated time before brackets appear - no confirmed sources to speak of).

I also purchased this bundle (1700x + H100 v2)!

The cooler arrived this afternoon and upon opening I found only the usual Intel and AMD brackets.

Odd, mine has said it wont ship until the 27th and arrive the 28th. Either way, I'll find a way to get it working, if I have to call Corsair all day long for days or jerry rig a bracket myself I'll get it working eventually.

Hello, I just purchased (preorder) an AMD Ryzen 1800X (AM4) that came bundled with an H100i V2 cooler from Amazon (Similar to this 1700x).

My question is, does this come bundled with an AM4 bracket/adapter? If not where can I acquire one?

It would be odd for Amazon to bundle a cooler with a CPU that it doesn't fit. Thanks.

Turns out that if your ordered the ASUS ROG Corsshair VI Hero, then the old AM3+ mounting holes are still there. Thus, the H100i V2 will still fit.

Anyone with any other AM4 motherboard coming in (myself included) will have to wait.

Edit: NVM, the mounting holes are for both AM4 and AM3 but they are only visible under the clip bracket:
