AWACS
Hi guyz, congratulations for this forum, finally a good place where to talk seriously about PC stuff  I'm looking for an advice: I tried to OC my system: XP2700+ (2.09 real), ASUS A7N8X DELUXE Rev 1.4 (FSB 2*167) 2* CMX512-2700C2 (@ 2-2-2-5) Enermax 350W MSI Ti4200 128Mb 2* maxtor Diamond9 120 Gb SATA RAID0 :sunglasse 1* WD 80GB 8MB Buffer IDE 7200 RPM XP did not load when I set the following: multiplier 12.5 (cannot go more) FSB 180Mhz DDR 2.7V Timings 2-3-3-6 Any of you have reached better performance with this memories? One more thing: can anybody explain me what the following numbers mean (stamped on the memory sticks): XMS2702V3.1 0317047 I assume the first row are the stick specifications (are they good?), but I cannot understand the secon row. Thanks, AWACS, flying low
Wired
One more thing: can anybody explain me what the following numbers mean (stamped on the memory sticks): XMS2702V3.1 0317047 I assume the first row are the stick specifications (are they good?), but I cannot understand the secon row. How To Read the Memory Label The XMS 270x is stating it's 2700 memory. the "x" is the generation. The v3.1 is the revision. The 0317047 is the lot number, which specifies the year / week made (03 = 2003, 17 = 17th week, end of April) and the ICs used (which only Corsair employees have access to the code table for).
