Please use this as a reference:

CMX256A or CMX512-2700C2

CPU Freq: 133 MHz

DRAM Clock: 333 MHz/2:3/125%

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Dim Voltage: 2.75 Volts

AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!*

Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!

Tried them and errors came up as soon as memtest started, 10,169 so far. I also tried 2.5,3,3,7 with the same results. My second stick I get zero errors.

Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

I had to part out a 512mg XMS 3200 stick out of my machine to replace the defective 1 of 2 256mg 2700 XMS. Any chance I could send in my 256 X2 for a 512 stick of 3200? Even better a matched set of 512mg 3200 X2. Please let me know if possible and if so how you would like funds.

Thanks,

Kevin D. Cannon

LOL, I do not think this is possible, the module will be replaced with the same part or something equivalent to it; if it is not available or the product/model has been discontinued. You can ask the customer service department on what will be the replacement of the model, if the model that you have is currently not available.
