Blackster
Hey guys, so with the previous CUE Version you could set up a workaround for a ripple effect outgoing from a single key. How can you do the same with the new CUE Version? I couldnt find an option for that. Quick explanation for what im looking for: By pressing the key "Q" the ripple effect should start there and only start with the press of this button and no other buttons. Thank you for your help in advance. :)

That would work too, could you please give me some detail how this works out? I couldnt find a option to start effects.
Comet 1626864951
Could you please give me some detail how this works out? I couldn't find a option to start effects. To make a ripple start on press of only a certain key without making the ripple start from that key can be done following these steps: Define your RIPPLE lighting effect, and turn it off by default (click that slider to the left of your defined lighting effect). This will keep the ripple from happening when you don't want it to.Create a macro with action trigger on key release that sends your key being released.Create a macro with action trigger on keypress that sends your key being pressed, has an associated lighting scheme of the RIPPLE lighting effect you defined ins step one, and has a secondary action of the key release action you defined in step two. The attached profile demonstrates this technique, bya ssociating a rainbow ripple that will go over the keyboard, but is only triggered from the space key (and the space key will still send a space character.) The picture below shows where in the key press macro the lighting effect is associated. (Hint: Click the checkered flag.) If you don't want typematic autorepeat, the instead of defining the two macro actions, you can define your key as a "TEXT" action to type the character, and associate the ripple the same way as described above. If you don't care to have the key send anything, just trigger your lighting, then you can create a special lighting profile that executes on profile activation, and in your origianl profile define an action while key is pressed to switch to this second profile--this would let you hand-animate the lighting to emulate a ripple that comes from your pressed key. I am sure krazykid could do that. :laughing:Space Key.cueprofile
