Anyone here done a glass replacement on the Carbide 540?

The "glass" used for the widow doesn't like to be cleaned easy and always leaves behind streaks or other marks. And I was looking at getting an actual glass side window but I don't know how to mount it where the plastic one is.

You would need to come with a custom way to mount the glass. If you look at the flanges on the interior, they go through the plexi on the edges to secure the piece. That won't be possible with glass. There will certainly be a difference in weight, so it will need have some strength to it.

 

The 540 has been modded quite a bit, so hopefully someone who has done this can share. You might also look through the 540 owner's thread (both here and Overclock.net) to get ideas and perhaps find someone to reach out to directly.
