Melethril
So, over new years I've uhh, sadly spilt vodka over my keyboard (K70 RGB Rapidfire) I've just had it on Christmas as gift so, I'm kinda gutted. You see, I've cleaned it, it works fine, but the keys absolutely refuse to unstick and I've even used isopropyl. What's the policy upon returning/replacing? Am I able to? EDIT (The Vodka has also weakened my B key and E key (Non-replacement caps) and torn off the plastic underneath during use) Edit2: Or do I buy lube for the switches and keep cleaning them out? is there anyway to get individual replacement caps? terabyte
Unfortunately the warranty does not cover spilled liquid. Try searching around for a guide on how to clean mechanical keyboards, and maybe some specific ones for a K70. Reddit might be a good place to start from. Inheritance
ahh bummer, what about individual keycaps? full set is kinda expensive Well, since your warranty is voided. If you're good at soldering you can open the board up and replace the faulty switches. Or take it to a tech shop they might have someone whos up for the task. Toasted
As your warranty is void. Take a look at the resources over at /r/MechanicalKeyboards as it may help you restore the switches to a somewhat "normal" operation. https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/keyboardmaintenanceguides
