joemuzina
Hi, I just purchased and installed an H80i v2 and am a bit taken aback by the noise put out by this machine. See the link below. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtTKrS6CBOI[/ame] All fans are running and the CPU is running at an average 26 degrees C. Is this volume normal coming from my previous stock cooler or is there something wrong with the cooler?
c-attack
I am afraid that is normal. Most of what you are hearing is the is the SP120L fans interacting with a higher density radiator than your air tower. You can make a lot of this go away by using a different set of fans. Performance qualities aside, I have never liked that model and there is something in the tone that rubs me the wrong way. There are lot of potential replacements with a smoother sound profile and a minimal loss in performance. Make sure whatever you select is a 4pin PWM fan so you have the option of pump control. Thank you. Would two of these do better than the included fans? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00650P2ZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DDfyyb1XC5TQB
