After Upgrading to 4.3 then back to 4.2....

So I upgraded to 4.3 when I noticed corsair link wouldn't open at all. Not even sure of the version I had. My fan speeds in 4.3 ran higher and didn't like that. I have downgraded to each previous build and none of the builds have reduced the fan speeds or let me have control over them at all. So my question is, can I even get fan speed control again, and if so, which version was the most stable? I know before I was on the old corsair link that was gray. :/
