Maxwell Murder
Running ABIT IC7-MAX3 Mobo with a 2.8c and antec trube blue 480w I have two modules of CMX512 PC3500C2PT. Both modules will not run at stock timings 2-3-3-7 with 2.8v. I've tried tightening the timings to see if the BH5 chips would juice it better but no give. The errors occur on Memtest86 around test 4 and the end of test 3. Both sticks have been run seperate when testing. And have been running fine till I started playing Battle for Middle Earth. (Was playing Halo 2 since November)

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and if both pass the suggested settings for 2 XMS3500C2 modules would be 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.7 Volts as well. One module doesnt pass with 2-3-3-7 at 2.7v, yet to check the other.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2005 Please test both modules, but if both are failing on this system, that would suggest some other problem, and I would test them in another system if you can. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2005 Then I would suggest we get them both replaced so they match. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
