Kalestorm
Tried both DIMMs individually with Memtest, One fails. Additionally, when Both or only the Faulty DIMM are in, system is unstable (Memory Management Blue screens, random crashes) Completely stable with only the good DIMM in. And since this is probably going to end up as a RMA, should I send both DIMMs back, or only the bad one (And if I send both back, should I mark which one is faulty somehow?) Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
Kalestorm
Gigabyte GA-8IPE775-G Mobo P4 3ghz LGA775, 800fsb 2-2-2-5 Timings +0.1v to AGP slot, although I doubt that would change anything concerning the DIMMs. Nothing notable besides that
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2005 You should set the Dim Over voltage control to +.3 Volts and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
