Hello everyone,

I'm very new here to the forums and need your help. Basically I'm using a software programme called 'PowerDirector 15' and every time I try and render the project I finished editing on, the PC crashes. Now I have asked this question on the Cyberlink forums and they believe its a Corsair Link issue. They said its to do with CorsairLink4.Service.exe file.

Here is the link I posted with the same issue:

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/49986.page#262996

Here are my PC specs:

Does anyone know what I should do with the CorsairLink4.Service.exe file to stop my PC from crashing?

If I have missed any information out, please let me know.

Many thanks

Simple test, uninstall Corsair Link.

Looking at your part picker parts, the only corsair product you have is the PSU.

At this point in time, CLINK is not essential.

Thank you for the reply. So what your'e saying is I can just un-install CorsairLink completely and hopefully the PC won't crash?

Yes, that's correct - and and appears to be the same answer that corsair support gave you too.

Note that they also suggested that you "please try disconnecting the link cable from the PSU and reverify".

I've had a very quick read of your thread on the other forum.

My suggestion would be to attempt to convert a much smaller file to verify that the application is working correctly (i.e. does it crash with all files or just the one you are working with).

The symptoms you have described also sound like your PC could be overheating resulting in a crash / system hang. I strongly recommend that you install some monitoring software (SIV or AIDA) to watch what is going on during the render process.
