Zissophiss
I bought the Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler and now I constantly get the annoying Windows sound as though a USB device is being unplugged and then plugged back in. I downloaded a tool called Plug and Play monitor and it points to the device driver for the Corsair as being the culprit. Has anyone else experienced this? It says the driver version is 3.6.0.0 11:09:42.982 - DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE Device path: \\?\USB#VID_1B1C&PID_0C03#7289_1.0#{a5dcbf10-6530-11d2-901f-00c04fb951ed} Friendly Name: Corsair Hydro Series 7289 USB Device Description: Corsair Hydro Series 7289 USB Device Manufacturer: Corsair Components, Inc. red-ray
At a guess you have failed to disable fan control for the CPU_FAN header in the BIOS so the H100iGTX fails to get the constant +12 volts it needs.
Zissophiss
It's been in the system for 9 months now. Why would that just start happening?
snapper69
You didn't say that in your original post, in fact your post implies that you have just bought it.
