Corsair Commander Mini Corsair Link Freezes?

  1. You should specify the CL version number and CL Mini firmware version.
  2. The CL Mini should have the 1.1.6 firmware.
  3. At a guess the CL Mini firmware has crashed.
  4. CL4 provides no real debug facilities so I added some to my SIV utility.

The SIV [uSB Bus], [Link Devices] and [Link Status] panels allow the root cause of many hardware issues to be determined and resolved. If you need help with a CL hardware issue I recommend posting these screen shots.

Same problem here. After 10-15 minutes, Link freezes.

CLV = 4.3.0.154

CCM = Firmware 1.1.6

AX1500i, one case fan (Cooler Master Silent Fan 140mm), the fan and LED strip of my Dominator Airflow Platinum is connected to CCM.

Only got those two images from SIV:

When I tried to click on Link Devices, SIV crashed.

Thanks for your help!

PS: sorry for my bad english, i'm german ;)

When I tried to click on Link Devices, SIV crashed.

To me it looks like the CLCC firmware crashed. If you power cycle the CLCC do things start working again?

How did SIV crash? Is there a dump file? If so then if you e-mail it to me I will look into why.

I had to fully shutdown and reboot the system to get the CCM running again, a simple Windows restart didn't worked.

I was able to make a screen of Link Devices this time:

http://pic.sysprofile.de/images/8Wt67408.jpg

And in the siv-folder I only found this file called "SIV_DBGOUT.log" containing the following:

"2016-11-17 12:46:40 ********** \\MIKES_COSMOS_II 0000000000000000 = GetStdHandle( STD_OUTPUT_HANDLE ) - error 10 - Die Umgebung stimmt nicht.

AX1500i @ 12:46:40.511 seq 50 != 00 65 00 67 00 72 00 61 00 74 00 65 00 64 00 20"

I hope this helps a bit to find the root of the problem.

Thank you!

Yes, that is what I specified.

The CLCC is only half working. You may need to unplug the system for 2 minutes. Until the red blob to the right of Channel IDs has gone there are hardware/firmware issues.

From what you have posted SIV is working as it should and you have hardware/firmware issues.

So, it seems like I found the reason behind all those freezes.

It looks like the tool-collection of Asus called "AI Suite II" that started automatically with Windows and runs in background was the reason. After closing and blocking the auto-start CL is running smooth now without any freezes and/or errors.

Thanks for everything, red-ray!!!

I guess you failed to read http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118371 which says:

Q: Corsair Link and ASUS AI Suite don’t seem to work together. What’s up with that?

A: Corsair Link and ASUS AI Suite frequently monitor the same devices in your system. Because of this, they can conflict with one another and cause the other to lock up or be unstable. Please exit out of AI Suite completely before using Corsair Link, and vice-versa.
