red-ray
I would expect that too but No matter what I do I cannot change that value. I suspect you will need to disable XMP and select Manual rather than By SPD
StevenPuttemans
I suspect you will need to disable XMP and select Manual rather than By SPD Yep that is exactly what I am aiming for. New intel has brought me to the idea of trying the following - Disable XMP profiles --> because configuration seems to get faulty, hence the 1T instead of 2T - Disable besides the TURBO, also the C1e and EIST Function I read reports that say that before those are deactivated, that AwardBios does not allow to manually overclock. Also a review of the Foxconn BlackOps led me to believe I might need to look for an option called `Phase Overclock Select` and set it too `Manual Overclock`. However this setting seems to be missing on my MoBo BIOS.
StevenPuttemans
This overlockers link seem to hint that 1T is actually better than 2T, and gives a slight performance boost on benchmarks. They utter that for daily use, it doesn't really matter. However, I still don't get why they auto setting would select that if the profile asks for 2T. I guess it could be a MoBo specific overwrite? StevenPuttemans
Oh btw new update. Tried the aida64 memeory stresstest. It pushed my CPU temps to 90 degrees quite fast (2mins), and eventually halted due to reaching the limit of 100 suggested by Intel. I guess my cooling is thus not enough for an uncore 3.2Mhz. Any suggestions to get it stable at a 100% load around 90 degrees CPU wise?
red-ray
Any suggestions to get it stable at a 100% load around 90 degrees CPU wise? I guess an AIO would do the trick, I would opt for a CoolIT H110i for the reasons I specified in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=796027. StevenPuttemans
Actually I succeeded in getting the manual overclocking done. The T2 and 1.5dram volt now ensures that the temp stays mx around 90. Might need a bit More tweaking but I am getting there
