mr00000
Hello all, I just purchased a 600C and the H110i. Was wondering if the H110i would fit in a push/pull configuration - mounted on the bottom and pulling air up? Thanks much, Mr00000
c-attack
Possibly. I think you can slide up the radiator so it doesn't hit the rear fan. However, depending on your motherboard, you may have collision issues with top heatsinks and/or IO shields. You can see the potential issues below. http://cwsmgmt.corsair.com/responsive/img/600c/gallery_full_4.jpg However, from a cooling stand point you definitely don't need push-pull. You can run minimal fan speeds on any overclocked processor and keep the water temperature in check. You also may want to consider using the fans in an exhaust position. Using the bottom as intake creates a couple of problems. Your rear fan has to do the exhaust work for the entire case. That will always be a bottleneck. It may further exacerbate one of the weaknesses of the case -- a hot top zone with no real outlet. I think you will want to keep that natural flow from front to rear bottom. You also need to be careful with dust/carpet fibers when using intake fans on the bottom. Normally, you throw a dust filter over it. That would be a substantial hindrance with the radiator there. I don't particularly enjoy picking carpet fibers out of radiator fins either. The inverted design of the case was meant for the bottom to be exhaust. Normally, your radiator fans are the loudest in the case because of the resistance and the blade design of those fans. Pushing air out the bottom should make those fans disappear acoustically and you won't need a dust filter when using them as exhaust. It is one of the better aspects of the design. Thank you for the reply! Super informative. Using this configuration, would the best setup be: Front: 2x 140mm fans as intake Bottom: H110i with fans on top pushing down through the radiator as exhaust Rear: 1x 140mm fan as exhaust
