Windows refuses to recognize link commander despite drivers being installed

unbwogable

I have a CL-9011106 running on Windows 7 64 bit. I have installed both the old version and the latest version of the Corsair link software, and all I get in device manager is a 'Corsair Hydro Series 7289 USB device' with a yellow exclamation point. Windows won't give me a reason. I've tried manually installing drivers, searching automatically, and tried 2 different USB headers on the motherboard (both of which work fine with other devices). What am I doing wrong here?

Sad that Corsair doesn't have anything easy to locate on this.

I would say this is rather poor rather than sad. The sticky threads that should include this information have not been updated for over two years.

I also feel CL4 should support the old Link Commander as it takes SIV < 20 lines of C to do this.
